Terms
These terms cover buying a piece from Maridadi. The seller is [legal name], trading as Maridadi. Questions go to support@maridaditraders.store. Governing law is still open: the project has not chosen a US or Kenya entity. A court is not named here until that choice is made.
The shop
Maridadi sells physical pieces. Each page says what the piece is, in plain words: the object, the material, the technique, the place, and the maker, when we know them. A missing fact is left blank. We do not invent a meaning, a maker, or a place to complete a listing.
Stories and culture pages are there whether or not you buy. Buying does not unlock a hidden account of the object. The tag on the piece binds that public account to the object in your hands.
The price
The price on a piece is the price of the piece. Delivery to the address you give, and any tax that applies to it, are calculated at checkout and shown before you pay; the total on the payment step is what you are charged, and we add nothing after you pay. Import duties or fees that your country charges when an order arrives are set by that country and are not part of our price.
There is no countdown and no discount presented as a reason to hurry. If a piece is one of a kind and it has sold, the page says it is no longer available. The account of the piece stays up.
A delivery window is shown only when we can stand behind it. Until then, we do not print a number of days.
The order
You place an order by paying the price shown. We email you a private link to the order. That link is how you follow it. Keep it as you would keep a receipt.
We confirm the order in these states, and only these, once each is true: we have your order; payment received; your piece is being prepared; your piece is on its way; your piece has arrived. If preparation takes longer than we hoped, we say so. We do not describe work in the workshop that nobody has recorded.
Title in the piece passes to you when we have delivered it to the address you gave, and payment has cleared. Until then, the risk of loss in transit sits with us, and we will make it right or return what you paid. Who is importer of record is still open. That sentence is not settled until Pamela and PH confirm it.
The name on the tag
You may put a short name on the tag, or skip it. Skip is a complete order. The mark and the QR code are on the tag either way.
A name is up to 24 characters: Latin letters, spaces, hyphens, and apostrophes. We show you a preview before you pay. You can change the name on the order page until we start preparing the piece. After that, write to us and we can print a new tag. We do not remake the piece for a name.
One name covers the order. The name is not a monogram of the object, and it does not make the object into that person.
Payment
You pay through the payment provider shown at checkout. We do not store your full card number. If a payment fails, the selection remains and you can try again. Nothing is reserved by a failed attempt.
A development checkout may show a method that does not charge a card. That method is not part of the public shop.
Returns
An unused piece can come back. If the tag carries a name, that tag is destroyed, and the piece is restocked without it.
We have not set a number of days or a refund timing. To start a return, or to ask about either, write to support@maridaditraders.store. We are sorry it was not right for you, and we will say what happens next.
Culture, scans, and other people
Anyone can read the public page for a piece, including by scanning the tag. A scan does not show who bought it, where it was sent, or what was paid. Please don’t publish another person’s name from a tag.
You may not copy our photographs, our writing, or the mark for your own shop. You may share a link.
The limit of what we owe
We owe you the piece you paid for, at the price you were shown, delivered as these terms describe, and a straight answer when something fails. We do not owe a particular cultural experience, a gift arriving by a date we never stated, or a meaning we have not published.
Nothing here takes away a right you have under the law that applies to you, once that law is chosen.
Changes
A change to these terms takes a new date. An order already paid keeps the price and the promises that were in front of you at payment.
